Dr. Elizabeth Woodward

Medical Lead – Assertive Community Treatment (Island Wide)

Dr. Woodward completed medical school at UVic Island Medical Program, and residency training at the University of Toronto. She has a particular interest in the treatment of severe and persistent mental illness, and treatment-resistant psychotic disorders.  Dr. Woodward finds it particularly meaningful to work with the marginalized populations served by ACT teams, many of whom live with multiple intersecting challenges such as mental illness, substance use disorders, poverty, and significant social stigma. When not at work, she enjoys reading, camping and exploring the natural world with her young children.
