I grew up with my father being a surgeon - probably his influence.
- What is most meaningful to you about practicing medicine?
A happy patient - the gratitude when I am able to help someone.
- What are your professional interests and notable achievements?
Surgical oncology, surgical gastroenterology, laparoscopic/endoscopic surgery. Awards for best medical student, best postgraduate student.
- What are your hopes for the future of healthcare?
Affordable care with less wastage. More direct/personal individual care with less time spent on admin.
- What hobbies or activities do you enjoy doing in your spare time?
Golf. Camping in remote areas. Computer programming.
