1.    Where did you complete medical school and residency?

  • Medical school UBC 2006, family medicine residency UBC Prince George 2008



2.    Why did you choose your field of specialty?

  • I have a short attention span and value long-term relationships, so family medicine was a natural choice. I also enjoy working in a team, conducting home visits, and cradle to grave care.



3.    What is most meaningful to you about practicing medicine?

  • Being with people as they change, supporting them through tough times and celebrating improvements in health.



4.    What are your professional interests and notable achievements?

  • Interests: Indigenous health, advocacy, alliances, clinical teaching, quality improvement, joy and fun at work.
  • Achievements: I'm just trying to make fewer mistakes every day.

5.    What are your hopes for the future of healthcare?

  • If we build a system that provides truly loving care to all patients and empowers people to direct and manage their own care, this system will also give providers great joy and satisfaction in their work.

6.    What hobbies or activities do you enjoy doing in your spare time?

  • Anything outside with my family, preferably out of cell service.
