All Diabetes Education Centres have modified our service delivery in order to support physical distancing and safe patient care.
- All referrals will receive a phone call to determine the support needed.
- Clients will receive phone consults and will receive education resources by email.
- MyVirtualVisit, a secure video solution allowing clients to use their personal smartphone, tablet or computer, will be available soon.
We know that people with diabetes have a greater risk of adverse outcomes from COVID-19. We will endeavor to continue to be a credible source of information and support for this group.
Where available, inpatient diabetes nurse educators will continue to provide support for inpatients and unit staff.
