The Department of Anesthesia of the Vancouver Island Health Authority (Island Health) seeks additional energetic and dedicated locum pediatric anesthesiologists to join our team of forty members.
Eligible applicants hold Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada certification in Anesthesiology and are eligible for full licensure with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of B.C.
Victoria provides tertiary pediatric services for Vancouver Island. We require an experienced pediatric anesthesiologist, preferably with Fellowship training in Pediatric Anesthesia, to join two other Pediatric anesthesiologists. The surgical team is supported by pediatric intensive care and neonatal units.

Island health has an opportunity for a full time Anesthesiologist to join their team at the Comox Valley Hospital.
Comox Valley Hospital is a new 150 bed community hospital with state of the art facilities. There are 6 OR’s with 5 operationalized and 1 reserved for emergency caesarean sections.
Anesthesiologists provide services for Obstetrics and Gynaecology, Urology, General Surgery, ENT, Dentistry, Ophthalmology, and Orthopaedics. In addition, anesthesiologists provide anesthesia for ECT and Cardioversion and assist with emergency intubations in the ER and ICU. Comox Anesthesiologists also run a consultation clinic and an out of OR position designated as Rover.

Nanaimo Regional General Hospital (NRGH) is a 356 acute care bed regional hospital providing services to a population of 160,000 and a secondary referral population of over 350,000. NRGH has a total of 10 ORs in the main operating room and 2 ambulatory ORs used for ophthalmology and minor procedures under local anesthetic. We provide 24/7 coverage for the main OR and the labour and delivery suite.
