Island Health’s Department of Surgery, Division of Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery at the Comox Valley Hospital has a full-time position for a full-scope Oral & Maxillofacial Surgeon to join our current surgeon, Dr. Andreas Conradi.

Eligible candidates will hold FRCDc, have completed a minimum 4-year residency in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery and be eligible for Certified Specialist licensure with the College of Physicians of Dental Surgeons of British Columbia.

The Comox Valley Hospital is a brand new 154 bed acute care facility, managed by Island Health that serves a referral population of 70,000.  This new facility has 45 additional beds to accommodate the recent increase in population and includes an 8-bed ICU and a 10-bed telemetry unit.  The hospital has a closed ICU and diagnostic imaging services include CT and MRI scanners

Benefits

May be eligible for additional remuneration in accordance with the Rural Subsidiary Agreement (RSA), including (subject to change): 

  • Recruitment Incentive:  up to a maximum of $10,000 (pro-rated based on FTE)
  • Relocation: up to a maximum of $15,000 (amount based on location relocating from)
  • Flat fee: $10,739.52
  • Fee Premium: 6.93%
  • CME: $3,000/annum year 3-4 and $6,000/annum after 4 years in the community.
