The Campbell River PCN is currently seeking to build a pool of interested nurse practitioner candidates to work with a team of practitioners, and other health providers, to collectively deliver care to patients at the Primary Care Network/Clinics in the Campbell River and District area. In these clinical service contract positions the providers will work collaboratively with an inter-disciplinary health care team to provide culturally safe primary care.
The Campbell River PCN, now in its second year of implementation, currently funding a variety NP positions across a variety of clinical settings. The clinics are run by private family physicians; and these clinics span rural and urban settings and provide care to people of all ages including maternity care.
Acting as the most responsible primary care provider, there will be a requirement for the provider to establish a minimum patient panel (see contract for details- year 3 and on-going 800 attachment requirement). After hours’ care for patients may be required in the services and the practitioner may participate in an after-hours call group, sharing after-hours coverage with other providers at the clinic.
The roles will be made available subject to funding approval from the Ministry of Health.
