Campbell River and District Hospital

Traditional Territory of the Ligwiłda’xw people; the We Wai Kai, Wei Wai Kum and Kwiakah First Nations

We are a 4 year old (established October 2017) 105 bed acute care, state of the art facility located in the ocean side city of Campbell River. Campbell River General Regional District services the communities of Alert Bay, Campbell River, Cortes Island, Gold River, Kyuquot, Port Alice, Port Hardy, Port MacNeill, Sointula and Tahsis. We are a year round, outdoor adventure destination for young and old alike. Spring and summer months boast excellent opportunity for biking, boating, fishing, hiking, and golf. Winter months, we have one of the deepest snowpacks in BC at Mt. Washington where you can ski or snowboard. Our medical staff choose our community for the active lifestyle. Our estimated population within the Regional District is nearly 36,000 and growing. We respectfully acknowledge that we work and live on the Unceded Traditional territory of the Coast Salish, Nu Chah Null and K’wakwaka’wak people.
