The Medical Director, Quality, Research and Innovation provides collaborative medical leadership to ensure strategic, visionary, and sustainable work in the areas of both Research and Innovation at Island Health. Reporting to the Executive Medical Director, Quality, Safety, Research, and Innovation, and working in partnership with the Directors of both Research and Innovation, this role supports the strategic direction and synergy of the two departments. Responsibilities include building capacity and maintaining external and internal partnerships, supporting translation of research and innovation into clinical care, and support of physicians involved in research/innovation in a way that aligns with organizational goals and priorities.
