Resilience and safety grant recipients
People and organizations in communities across the Island Health region will benefit from almost $1.2 million awarded through 29 resilience and safety grants. The three key areas of focus for these grants are: Promoting youth resilience, Businesses leading the way to a strong and healthy workforce and New ways to reach people who use illicit drugs alone.

Port McNeill Public Health on the move
Effective Monday, April 3, 2023, residents of Port McNeill and surrounding communities can visit the public health team at its new location - A’ekakila’as Primary Care Centre at 2161 McNeill Road - for a wide range of health supports such as prenatal, postpartum and newborn care, breastfeeding support, immunization clinics, contraceptive support and STI testing.

Medical and clinical staff in a number of facilities across Island Health are now using OneSign® “Tap N Go” technology to securely move between computers and workstations on wheels (WoWs) while staying logged into the system.
