Join our dynamic team in the beautiful Cowichan Valley! We are seeking a skilled Orthopaedic Surgeon for a three-to-six-month locum position starting in July 2025 (duration of locum and start time negotiable) with flexible Full-Time Equivalent (FTE) ranging from 0.5 to 1.0.

Key Responsibilities:

• Elective Surgery: 1-2 days per week
• Orthopaedic Outpatient Clinic (Cast Clinic): 1 day per week
• Office Work: 1-2 days per week
• On-call Responsibilities: 1 in 5 weekends and 5 days per month.

Preferred Qualifications

• Subspecialty interest in Sports Knee, Sports Shoulder, and Shoulder Arthroplasty preferred.
• Alternate subspecialty interest in Foot and Ankle will be considered.

The Cowichan District Hospital, a 134-bed acute care facility, enjoys an exceptionally collegial atmosphere amongst the general and specialty medical staff. It provides full-service orthopaedic surgery care as a Level 2 Centre, excluding pelvic trauma, hand trauma, and spine trauma.  Our multidisciplinary team covers all orthopaedic subspecialties, including Upper Extremity, Sports-Shoulder, Total Joint (Hip & Knee), Foot & Ankle, and Extremity Trauma, with the exception of Spine.  Work alongside experienced colleagues in a collaborative, supportive environment.
