A group of south island physicians came together last week to for the first “story rounds” event. With the support of the South Island Medical Staff Association, the Saanich Peninsula Physician Society and the South Island and Victoria Divisions of Family Practice, the event was modelled on Stanford Medical’s live story telling series. Physicians shared stories about their lives, their medical practice and what’s stuck with them in their careers. Attendees were struck by how deeply moved they felt by simply listening to each other’s stories.
