New Executive Medical Director, Geography 1

It is our pleasure to announce that Dr. Jennifer Grace has accepted the role of Executive Medical Director for Geography 1 on a permanent basis. Jenn has been in the role on an interim basis since March 2018 and we are delighted to report that she is the successful candidate for the position and will continue to carry on the great work she is achieving in North Island.

Dr. Grace obtained her medical degree from the University of British Columbia in 1996 and completed her Fellowship in Internal Medicine in 2001. She has been working on the island since 2003 from Campbell River within the Internal Medicine group and her private practice. Dr. Grace was instrumental in developing and administering the North Island Stroke Program in 2005, and continues to run a stroke clinic on a weekly basis.  She is also a graduate of UBC’s Sauder School of Business Executive Education Physician Leadership program and Clinician Quality Academy.

Within Island Health Dr. Grace has previously held the posts of Executive Medical Director and Head of Medicine since 2016. She has recently stepped down from both roles and a search is underway for the Department Head of Medicine position.

Please join us in congratulating Dr. Grace on her permanent new role within the organization.
