Almost 100 medical leaders, emerging leaders and administrative leaders gathered in Victoria at the end of May to attend “Leadership and Performance Growth”.
This workshop was put together by Medical and Academic Affairs’ Medical Staff Engagement and Development team in partnership with Enhanced Medical Staff Support (EMSS) and Organizational Development to help leaders translate strategic goals into operational action. The same event was held in Parksville on May 9.
Leaders learned more about how articulating expectations, supportive feedback and performance conversations can have a dramatic impact on results.
In addition to the accredited learning, medical leaders also got to spent time together networking with peers and colleagues.
The next medical leadership development workshop will be in the fall. Visit MedicalStaff.IslandHealth.ca for more information.
Thank you to all for attending and participating in the Victoria and Parksville sessions.
