Indigenous Cultural Safety Learning Opportunity

Do you want to learn more about why land acknowledgements are an important part of Cultural Safety and Humility? Island Health employees are invited to participate in the next virtual iCON-VCH Indigenous Health Round - Why Land Acknowledgements Are Important in Healthcare.

We invite you to join us via the Zoom meeting platform to learn more about cultural humility through land acknowledgements and how they relate to healthcare delivery.

We are honored to have Xalek’ / Sekyu Siyam, Chief Ian Campbell from the Skwxwú7mesh (Squamish) Nation as our guest to share his knowledge, insights, and teachings about the traditional, unceded territory of the xʷməθkwəy̓əm (Musqueam), Skwxwú7mesh (Squamish), and Səl̓ílwətaʔ/Selilwitulh (Tsleil-Waututh) peoples.
