The mask mandate lifted one week ago today and the emotion felt on the floors is noticeable. With being given the choice to wear or not wear the masks in place, staff once again feel some freedom. News spread fast when the announcement was made and some masks flew up in the air like it was graduation.
Whether we decide to wear the mask today or not, smiling faces can be seen and joy is starting to come back.
Some of the comments received from staff…
-nice to see people's face and smile
-don't mind either way about the mask
-will wear it when people are sick but it's nice to have the choice
-it's now a comfort level option
-thought we would never get back to no masks so it's nice for the option
-will chose to wear it if the area is full
-will still wear a mask in emerge as we aren't sure what's coming through the door
-people (public) are happy coming in now
-no yelling at the Ambassadors by the public now
-nice to not wear it
