SPOTLIGHT - get registered.jpg

On Tuesday Oct. 26 Provincial Health Officer Dr. Bonnie Henry announced that everyone 18 years and older will be offered a booster dose of COVID-19 vaccine, starting with people most at risk.

Health care workers and medical staff who received their first two doses on a shortened schedule (less than 42 days between doses 1 and 2) are among the first groups to receive boosters.

Invitations for booster doses will only be sent to health-care staff/medical staff who are registered in the provincial registry. If you have never been contacted by ImmunizeBC to get a first or second dose – or if you can't recall – you should register (or confirm your registration). To do this, you need to:

  1. Have your Personal Health Number (PHN) handy
  2. Go to www.getvaccinated.gov.bc.ca and click on 'Register Now' (OR register by phone: 1-833-838-2323)
  3. Walk through the process (name, date-of-birth, PHN, postal code, and contact email/phone number)
  4. When finished, you will get confirmation that you are now registered (OR confirmation that you are already registered)
