Doctors of BC | Health Authority Engagement Survey

Dear Colleagues,

Beginning Monday, September 14, Doctors of BC will be conducting its fifth annual Health Authority Engagement Survey. This survey seeks input on your level of engagement and interaction with Island Health. On behalf of Island Health leadership, I encourage you to participate and provide your feedback. The survey was originally scheduled for March 2020, but the COVID-19 pandemic response of course took precedence. There will be an opportunity for you to provide feedback on your interactions with Island Health during the pandemic within the survey.

Why complete the survey? A lot has changed in the past year. We have been sending out frequent bulletins to update medical staff, changed the layout of the medical staff website, and worked more closely with our medical staff associations, from co-hosting a medical staff wellness day last November to weekly MSA president calls during the first few months of the pandemic. Has this made a difference in your experience of working in Island Health? We don’t know. We need data to answer this question and this survey will provide some of that data.

The survey is being conducted by the Health Standards Organization (HSO). The email is sent from the following address: via <> . The email invitation subject line reads: Doctors of BC Health Authority Engagement Survey 2020

All responses are anonymous and confidential. Neither Doctors of BC nor health authorities will have access to individual responses.

To show appreciation for your feedback, upon completion of the survey you may choose to enter a draw to win one of two iPad Pros or Surface Pros. To enter the draw, you will need to provide your name and email address, your response goes directly to HSO who will conduct the draw.

The deadline for responses is midnight on Wednesday, October 14, 2020.

If you have any questions or do not receive your email invitation to participate in the survey, please contact Doctors of BC at

Full results will be made available by Doctors of BC when the survey is complete. Previous year’s results can be seen here (login required):

Thank you for your participation,
