Clinical Governance Improvement Initiative (CGII) Invitation to Join Advisory Committee

Posted on: November 10, 2021

A message from Krista Allan and Dr. Ben Williams on the CGII

Colleagues,

Thank you for everything you do to care for people in our communities.  We appreciate you, and your response to the COVID-19 pandemic has been extraordinary and inspiring.  We've learned so much together as we have managed through the pandemic including the importance of having clear decision-making processes and accountabilities for clinical matters.

This summer, we introduced the Clinical Governance Improvement Initiative (CGII) to help us better align to leading practices and improve our clinical oversight and accountability. This includes how clinical policy, practice standards, and programs are designed and implemented, and how we escalate and respond to risk.

To support this work we are forming an Advisory Group of 15 people who are systems thinkers from diverse backgrounds including point of care staff, medical staff and leaders.  The Committee will provide to the Steering Committee critical review and feedback on our current state analysis, future state design and top recommendations for improvement.

The Advisory Committee will meet virtually 4 to 5 times, for two hours until May 2022.

If you are interested, tell us about yourself using our survey- the deadline for submission is November 17th end of day.

Please explore the CGII Intranet Page to learn more about the project. If you are interested in the project, but can't commit to the Advisory Committee, more information will be available shortly about other opportunities such as focus groups and surveys.

Thank you.
