Island Health Medical Staff Working to Improve Spasticity Treatment

Dr. Paul Winston’s work on improving spasticity treatment is profiled in the latest issue of Island Health Magazine. Dr. Winston, the medical director of rehabilitation and transitions, works with surgeon Dr. Emily Krauss and anesthesiologist Dr. Daniel Vincent to offer cryoneutoromy to eligible patients. This involves freezing nerves to -60 degrees Celsius to allow muscles to relax. Read more here.
