External Leadership Development

In addition to Island Health’s leadership development supports, the following institutions offer leadership courses for physicians.  

SSC Leadership Training Scholarships

These courses, with pre-approval, are supported by scholarship funding through Shared Care and the Specialist Services Committee.  The following link provides more information regarding access to scholarship funding: Leadership Training Scholarship FAQs.

How to Apply

  1. Interested physicians should download the application form and submit to MedStaffDevelopment@islandhealth.ca
  • Individual physician application form 
  • Groups of physicians from the same health authority who are attending the same activity can download and complete a group application 
  1. Endorsed and completed applications are then submitted to the JCC Leadership admin team for SSC sub-committee for approval.
