The Vancouver Island Health Authority (VIHA) Division of Hematology/Oncology, offer an opportunity a full-time fee-for-service Hematologist position with interest or training in Thromboembolism.
We are recruiting a Hematologist to join our dynamic team of hematologist and health professionals. The successful candidate will provide inpatient and outpatient consultative service, longitudinal care, engage in quality improvement initiatives in venous thromboembolism, and work in collaboration with clinicians including hematopathologists, oncologists and family physicians.
The Island Health Division provides services to a 350,000 direct referral population and a referral population of 750,000.
Academic appointments and support are delivered through the Division of Hematology, Department of Medicine, University of British Columbia (UBC). This position includes clinical teaching of undergraduate and postgraduate learners.

The successful applicant must be able to be fully licensed to practice in British Columbia; and hold a fellowship in Internal Medicine from the Royal College of Physicians of Canada with a subspecialty in Hematology (existing or successfully obtained within 1 year of acceptance). Quality improvement experiences are considered assets.
