The Island Health Division of Pediatrics is seeking a part-time Developmental Pediatrician to join the team in Victoria at Queen Alexandra Centre for Children’s Health (QACC)
The Centre provides specialized health care services to children and youth with physical, neurodevelopmental, medical and genetic conditions and emotional/behavioral challenges. Services include assessment, treatment and therapeutic intervention delivered at home, in clinics, in child care settings, or at school.
The successful candidate will be expected to provide sub-specialty consults for pediatricians across Vancouver Island on a direct referral basis, and to work within the inter-disciplinary team of the Vancouver Island Children’s Assessment Program providing provincially funded ASD, FASD and children/youth with medical/genetic and neuro-developmentally complex presentations.
The successful applicant will hold FRCPC Pediatrics with and subspecialty training and certification in Developments Pediatrics (FRCPC) or equivalent. Affiliation with UBC Department of Pediatrics would be an asset.
