The Victoria Primary Care Network is seeking two Nurse Practitioners to join a clinic in the Victoria area.

Please visit:  to view the clinic details.This position will be focused on offering longitudinal primary care in a community clinic setting.

In this service contract position the Nurse Practitioner will participate as a part of community family practice office and the NP will build a patient panel of approximately 1000 people over 3 years.

NP-Primary Care Clinic attributes include:


  • Implementing processes to ensure all people in a community have access to quality primary care and are attached to a primary care provider within their community
  • Delivery of extended hours of care, including early mornings, evenings and weekends
  • Delivery of comprehensive primary care services through a team-based care approach
  • Collaborative and co-ordinated care with diagnostic services, hospital care, specialty care and community services for all patients


The nurse practitioner will participate in an after-hours call group, sharing after-hours coverage with other practitioners, to include physicians and nurse practitioners, at the clinic.

  • Experience in providing longitudinal care for patients in a primary care setting
  • Experience in family practice is an asset
  • Experience working autonomously in a clinic team-based setting preferred
  • Experience in team-based care is preferred
  • Ability to provide culturally safe trauma informed care
    Additional advanced skills and competencies will be considered with the goal of building a team of NPs with diversity in expertise. Some of these may include:
  • Advanced prescribing (e.g. opioid agonist therapy, methadone)
  • Advanced procedures (e.g. IUD insertion, excision and biopsy)
  • Advanced practice with specialty populations (e.g. seniors, pediatrics, substance use and addictions, Indigenous populations)
Education, Training and Experience
  • Full licensure with the British Columbia College of Nurses and Midwives (BCCNM)
