On December 18, healthcare workers at West Coast General Hospital (WCGH) in Port Alberni were held up with a powerful expression of appreciation and gratitude from members of the Tseshaht First Nation, joined by representatives from other west coast First Nations. The ceremony included prayers, songs, and dances intended to lift spirits and acknowledge the dedication of healthcare workers who care for the community every day. The gathering offered meaningful moments of connection, reflection, and thanks, recognizing the compassion, resilience, and commitment shown by WCGH staff in supporting the health and well being of patients and families across the region.
