After 32 years at Cowichan District Hospital, Dr. Willie Pewarchuk is retiring. Everyone who has ever met him will remember his fabulous and well-groomed moustache. Now, that famous facial hair is going to be removed, and Dr. Pewarchuk is hoping to have some fun and raise some funds for Cowichan's new hospital:

A message from Dr. Willie Pewarchuk:
As I retire from my clinical practice of 32 years, I would like to give back to the community that I have been so privileged to live and work in. I am asking you to join me in raising money for equipment for the New Cowichan Hospital.
Make your tax-deductible donation online using this the custom portal on the CDHF website (https://donate.cdhfoundation.ca/p/VdDuVi1U5) before midnight on November 30th.
I will match contributions to a maximum of $10,000. Cowichan District Hospital Foundation will double all contributions thanks to the Jim Pattison matching gift campaign - so, a $100 contribution adds $400! My Goal is to contribute $40,000 to the New CDH fund!
The moustache that was grown and manicured over the past 35 years in BC will be removed in celebration of a new phase of life as a retiree. The person making the biggest donation through my portal by November 21 will have the opportunity to be part of the Razing ceremony near the end of November.
Thank you!
- WILLIE
Willie Pewarchuk, MD, FRCPC
