On October 1, 2025, from 1200 to 1300, Perinatal Services BC and Child Health BC and the BC Children's Hospital & BC Women's Hospital + Health Centre are hosting a webinar for health care providers to learn and ask questions about updates to the infant RSV immunoprophylaxis program for children at high and moderate risk of severe RSV disease.

For the 2025-2026 RSV season, the monoclonal antibody Nirsevimab is available free of charge for children who meet established eligibility criteria. Palivizumab will no longer be offered.

Eligibility has expanded to approximately 4,000 children (approximately 10% of births in BC).

As a result of this expanded eligibility, there will be important changes to the RSV immunoprophylaxis process. Health care providers should know about these important changes so they can successfully ensure the highest risk infants and pediatric patients, in hospital and in community, have access to this immunization.

Attend the webinar to learn more about:

  • Changes to Nisrevimab’s eligibility criteria for 2025-2026
  • Key updates to the eligibility screening, administration and documentation process for infant RSV immunization
  • Resources and tools to support providers through this practice update

Register for the webinar on Microsoft Teams.
