Applying for grant funding?

  • All Island Health employees or medical staff who plan to submit an external grant application must complete a Notice of Intent to Apply.
  • Once we receive your notification, we will connect you with the right people and departments, help you develop your budget, and request letters of support on your behalf.

For researchers who hold funds at Island Health, we can:

  • manage research finances and contracts
  • report to external funding agencies

Collecting, Managing, & Analyzing Data

We can help you collect and manage data with Research Electronic Data Capture (REDCap), a powerful data management tool that’s advancing health services management, quality improvement, innovation, and research at Island Health and across BC.

Our biostatistician offers a complementary initial consultation, guidance on study methodology, and analysis of data sets on a cost-recovery basis.

  • Our Clinical Trials Unit supports investigator-initiated and industry-sponsored clinical trials across a wide range of medical specialties, including critical care, neurology, and infectious diseases.

Patient-Oriented Research
  • Patient-oriented research engages patients as equal partners, answers research questions that matter to patients, and aims to improve healthcare.
  • Our patient-oriented research team connects researchers with patients and families and supports them to work together as partners throughout the research process. We provide training, support grant and ethics applications, and help teams translate their results into practice.
