Elaine Clark had been in health care since 1983. She graduated from University of Saskatchewan with a BsN. She has worked in numerous nursing roles through the years, including pediatrics, outpost nursing, street nursing, community health nursing and HIV/STI nursing. She completed her Masters in Nursing from Athabasca University and started as the first nurse practitioner in Nanaimo in 2007. In this position primary care was provided in a busy medical office, with a focus on mental health, eating disorders and chronic disease management. She has experience mentoring RNs, NPs, resident GPs over the years. She was a chart reviewer for the BCCNM Quality Assurance program for 5 years. She has been involved in numerous committees and boards locally and provincially throughout the years. In her spare time, she loves to garden and quilt while living in beautiful Nanaimo.
