Daylight Savings Time begins at 2 a.m. on Sunday, March 12, 2023. Remember to set your clocks ahead one hour before you go to bed on Saturday night.
Are you scheduled to work during the 2 a.m. time change? If so, you will be paid for your actual hours worked, not the shift hours.
The majority of Canadians will adjust their clocks forward an hour on March 12, 2023, marking the beginning of eight months of extended daylight into the evening.
Before you go to bed on the evening of March 11, make sure to manually set any analog clocks and watches in your home an hour ahead so you don’t show up to work or school late on Monday morning. Your digital and Wi-Fi connected devices should make the switch automatically, but it doesn’t hurt to double-check them the morning of March 12, just to be sure.
