It is a pleasure to share with you that Geoff Homer is the successful applicant for the Manager of Medical Staff Contracts & Negotiation role!
Geoff brings over seven years’ experience at the BC Ministry of Health, most recently as Director of Compensation Initiatives. In this role, he was the lead for developing a new contract compensation option for Family Physicians, working with the Doctors of BC. He was very involved in developing the blended models in preparation for provincial expansion of the Ministry’s primary care strategic direction. His deep knowledge of physician compensation models and negotiations will be an asset to our Physician Contracts & Negotiation team.
Geoff holds a Master’s degree in Economics from the University of Victoria and brings strong relationship building, innovation, and a collaboration and coaching approach to his leadership.
In his spare time, Geoff enjoys cycling, and running with the family dog. Like many of us, he's used the pandemic to try out new hobbies and projects, and now considers himself an above average at-home barista but a below average at-home drywaller.
Beginning on January 10, Geoff will work with Roxanne Broadbent toward a smooth transition into the role pending her retirement in March.
