Dr. Ross Davidson - Medical Director, Restorative Health, Quality

We asked Dr. Davidson a few questions about his professional career and personal life; here is what he had to say.

Where did you complete medical school and residency?

  • MED school through UBC's Island Medical Program in Victoria, completed in 2010

Why did you choose your field of specialty?

  • I academically and clinically excelled in subjects strongly represented in Physiatry.

What is most meaningful to you about practicing medicine? 

  • Helping people.

What are your professional interests and notable achievements? 

  • Neurorehabilitation and neurodiagnostics (Nerve Conduction Studies/EMG) are my clinical interests. 
  • Notable achievements are publishing research in international journals. 
  • Developing a thriving practice in Neurorehabilitation in Nanaimo BC.

What are your hopes for the future of healthcare? 

  • Equitable access to rehabilitation services

What hobbies or activities do you enjoy doing in your spare time? 

  • Hiking with my family.
