Victoria surgeon, Dr. Michael Ross recently retired at age 85. Dr. Ross served as chief of surgery at the Royal Jubilee hospital, was president of the Victoria Medical Society, served as a consultant at the Island Pain Clinic and the B.C. Cancer Clinic and taught at the University of Victoria for 10 years. The Times Colonist recently featured his story, The final cut: A longtime surgeon finally hangs up his scalpel at 85.
