Anatomical Pathologist (300-0849) - Comox

The Vancouver Island Health Authority (Island Health) Department of Laboratory Medicine, Pathology, and Medical Genetics is seeking applications for a full-time Anatomical Pathologist.  Extra training or interest in skin or GI pathology is an asset. Based at the North Island Hospital - Comox Valley, you will join a group that will consist of three pathologists and a pathologists’ assistant.  The team will work together in the hospital environment, sharing knowledge and collaborating to ensure seamless pathology services within the community and Department as a whole.

Radiologist (200-1410) - Nanaimo

The Vancouver Island Health Authority (Island Health) Division of Medical Imaging in Nanaimo is seeking a General Radiologist with to work fulltime in Nanaimo. Fellowship training is an asset, but not required.

The position includes participation in a full call schedule giving 24 hour services. And participation in resident teaching through the UBC Department of Radiology, and medical student teaching through the UBC Island Medical Program.

Radiologist (300-0924) - Comox Valley and Campbell River

The Island Health Department of Medical Imaging is seeking a full time General Radiologist for the North Island hospitals Comox Valley and Campbell River.

These facilities opened in the fall of 2017 and medical Imaging services at both hospitals include:  general x-ray, two fixed MRI, on-site CT, fluoroscopy, mammography, ultrasound and interventional procedures, all within a fully functional PACS environment. Additionally, at the Comox Valley Hospital, there is nuclear medicine service.

Anatomical Pathologist (200-1425) - Nanaimo

Island Health Authority’s Department of Laboratory Medicine is seeking applications for a full-time anatomical pathologist to join the Central Vancouver Island Pathology Associates at Nanaimo Regional General Hospital. The successful applicant will sign out general surgical pathology specimens and will participate in the group coverage of frozen sections and hospital (non-coroner) autopsies. Pathologists in Nanaimo also have the option to apply for a clinical appointment with the Department of Pathology at the University of British Columbia and be involved in the teaching and mentoring of undergraduate medical students and pathology residents.

Anatomical Pathologist (300-0928) - Campbell River

The Vancouver Island Health Authority (Island Health) Department of Laboratory and Medical Imaging is seeking applications for a full time Temporary Anatomical Pathologist.  General Pathologists may also be considered for this temporary opportunity; however, applicants should be aware all of the work will be in anatomical pathology.

While we are seeking anatomical pathologists who can provide broad coverage, extra training or interest in Dermatopathology or GI pathology is an asset. Based at the North Island Campbell River Hospital (CRG), you will work with a team in the hospital environment, sharing knowledge and collaborating to ensure seamless pathology services within the community and within the Department of Laboratory Medicine as a whole.
