On behalf of the IHealth team and Dr. Alex Brothers, we are very pleased to announce that Dr. Osmaan Sheikh will be joining the team in the role of IHealth Site Physician Lead at Saanich Peninsula Hospital (SPH). Dr. Sheikh has been practicing as a Hospitalist and Emergency Medicine physician at SPH since 2015.
Additionally, he has been a Medical Assistance in Dying Assessor and Prescriber since 2017 and has worked as a Family Physician at Shoreline Medicine Clinic and a Residential Care Initiative Physician since 2020.
Outside of his clinical work, Dr. Sheikh has taken on a number of leadership positions. He currently is a Clinical Preceptor for first and second year medical students at the University of British Columbia and a South Island Representative Assembly member with Doctors of BC. In the past, he was apart of the North Quadra UPPC Working Group and a Committee Chair for the Victoria Division of Family Practice.
