Dr. Nadra Ginting has taken on the role of Medical Lead Surgery at Royal Jubilee Hospital. We asked Dr. Ginting a few questions about herself to get to know her, and here is what she had to say.
Where did you complete medical school and residency?
Medical School: University of Toronto
Residency: University of Calgary
Fellowship: University of British Columbia
Why did you choose your field of specialty?
Vascular Surgery involves a wide breadth of cases in terms of acuity and anatomy, which keeps everyday different and interesting. The cases are technically challenging and the technology continues to evolve, which peaked my interest as a learner.
What is most meaningful to you about practicing medicine?
The relationships we develop in this profession - both with other health care team members and the patients. It feels significant that as a team, we impact people's lives by helping them navigate difficult decisions and caring for them in their time of need.
